Dr. Mitch Martin
The North American Mission Board, NAMB, wants to open a Send Relief Ministry Center in Memphis. This will be the 13th Ministry Center NAMB has opened across the United States and the first time they have partnered with an Association.
It appears that God is leading Shun Abram to be the Director of the Ministry Center. Shun is a Memphis native and a graduate of Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. For 13 years he has served Binghampton Community Church. Shun and Mary have four children, and they have worked for the Association since 2018.
During the month of May leaders from both the North American Mission Board and the Mid-South Baptist Association will enter into a time of prayerful discernment. If God says so, then at the close of the Executive Board on May 24th, we will have a brief NAMB Commissioning service for Shun, followed by a reception. Please pray for Shun, the Ministry Center, and all the details to be worked out according to God’s plan.
