Corey Crider in Concert

You are cordially invited to a free concert on Sunday, June 11 at 6:00 PM at Covenant Baptist Church in Collierville, TN. Our special guest will be baritone Corey Crider, who will present “Great Hymns of the Faith” – a concert featuring familiar hymns, which are a part of nearly every church’s worship repertoire.

Let me share some brief information with you about Mr. Crider: Celebrated in the leading dramatic and classic music theatre roles, baritone Corey Crider’s 2022-2023 season includes Germont in La Traviata with El Paso Opera, Alfio in Cavalleria Rusticana with Toledo Opera, and a return to Paducah Symphony Orchestra as featured soloist in their holiday concert.

Corey recently joined The Metropolitan Opera’s roster for their Don Carlos production. Last season, the baritone also performed his lauded Scarpia in Tosca with Gulfshore Opera and appeared as soloist in Handel’s Messiah with Evansville Philharmonic. In the 2019-2020 season, Corey returned to Opera Roanoke as Tonio in Pagliacci, to the Dallas Opera as Prince Affron in The Golden Cockerel, and was slated to debut with Manitoba Opera in his signature role, Sweeney Todd (COVID-19 cancellation). The 2018-2019 season saw him as Dancaïro in Carmen with Dallas Opera, the Captain in Florencia en el Amazonas with Pensacola Opera, Germont in La Traviata with Opera on the James, and Lancelot in Camelot with Charlottesville Opera.

It is our pleasure to open this concert to the community at no charge. We would love to have you join us for this amazing event. You can expect the concert to last about an hour.
