It was a blessing to have over thirty churches from around the city unite for the Mid-South Baptist Association’s Executive Board meeting. After lunch and fellowship around the tables, Courtney Franklin led in singing “God Is So Good,” which provided inspiration prior to the start of the meeting.
Courtney Franklin is the pastor of The Power Spot, which is an MSBA-supported church plant. Those in attendance were challenged to take their next step to advance God’s kingdom. Pastor Dwight Mosley, and the Glover’s Grove Baptist Church were welcomed into the association. Pastor Mike Mathis and his wife, Rachel, from Rivercrest Baptist Church, were recognized as their congregation celebrated 100 years of ministry. The Executive Board also acknowledged Mitch Martin, Director of Missions, and his wife, Myra, for fifteen years of servant leadership to the Mid-South Baptist Association.
