So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.1 Peter 5:6-7 (NLT)
When David lived in Ziklag before becoming King of Israel, he faced constant danger from attacking armies. David did not allow adversity to overcome him, instead, he had an overcoming sense of stability and strength as he sought the Lord (1 Sam. 30:1-8). David was able to face adversity with confidence and obstacles in his path did not stop him. Psalm 34:19 states: The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time. God will bring you into the light. Pray and trust Him to work for His glory and your good.
The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. For he knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust.Psalm 103:13-14 (NLT)
