Shepherds’ Haven of Rest Ministries

Shepherds’ Haven of Rest Ministries is a familiar name to church leaders who have been refreshed from the ministry of spiritual help and encouragement they provided. They have faithfully served church leaders (including pastors, staff members, missionaries and their wives). Review the following SHOR list of retreat venues that offer a place for pastors and staff to relax and recharge.

These are on Luke 9:23 Ministries website: You would need to personally contact each of them to see what they would do to work with you.

Chalet Retreat Ministries The primary mission of Chalet Retreat Ministry is to provide rest for weary and burdened souls. Chalet Ministry is a retreat center located in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee. For 40 years, we have been serving pastors, missionaries, and Christians in every walk of life for personal and family retreats. We offer the ideal setting to escape the daily stress of your busy life in a panorama of God’s beautiful creation; a space to get away from all the demands of ministry and life and find rest. At the heart of Chalet Retreat is the desire to bring encouragement to those in ministry, to those serving in missions, and to Christians in every walk of life who seek to be strengthened and renewed for the tasks to which God has called them. We also offer counseling for those who request it. Located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of East Tennessee, we currently have six chalets that sleep from 1 – 7 people. We can also accommodate groups and have a small conference room available. For those that request it, we offer counseling with a professional counselor. If you are looking for a place to rest, recharge, and refocus, this is it. Chalet Retreat is a 501c3 ministry and for that reason, fees are kept as low as possible to make it affordable to those it serves. Donations from churches, businesses, and individuals make this possible. Roan Mountain, Tennessee

Youth groups have access to the 200-acre property filled with activities to challenge and inspire them in their faith and Christian Walk. Each day in the Christian Life Center world-class teachers, counselors and life coaches conduct workshops and personal mentoring for our guests. Elijah’s Harbor has 3-, 4- and 5-bedroom guest homes, as well as a carriage house and rooms available in the mansion. We’d love to have you! Greeneville, TN

The Broom Tree Refuge The services of the refuge are available to all Christian workers involved in Christian ministry – regardless of mission or church affiliation. Recognizing that often those in ministry are not always well supported financially, Broom Tree has no set fees. It is operated on a donation basis according to whatever guests can afford to contribute toward the cost of their stay. No one is refused a stay based upon an inability to pay. Gifts from churches, organizations and individuals toward operating expenses are gratefully received. There are two “cabins” for guests. One is a modern 3 bedroom, two bath building. The second is a modern 1 bedroom, one bath with a large loft. Both are in secluded wooded areas and are fully equipped. (870) 591-6204  tbtr@thebroomtreerefuge.org
