Ridgeway Baptist Church in east Memphis is celebrating 150 years as a congregation.  In 1873 Fanny Crosby wrote the beloved hymn, Blessed Assurance.  That same year believers banded together to form Ridge High Baptist which would later call themselves Central Ave Baptist and Southern Ave Baptist.  For the last 50 years the church has been and continues as Ridgeway Baptist Church at 2500 Ridgeway Rd.  All are invited to celebrate the story of Ridgeway on August 6 at 10:15 AM with lunch to follow.
