Season’s Greetings from your Send Relief Ministry Center team. This quarter has been productive for us and the many churches that have partnered with the work at the Ministry Center these past few months. We have officially repaired the roof and cleaned out all the damaged materials from the leaking roof. One of those items was the gym floor which sadly had to be removed. With the help of many of our Mid-South churches and a team from Meridian, MS, that task was accomplished, and we are looking to get the floor replaced as soon as possible. We hosted our state’s pastors during the Bellevue Summit in November. It was a very successful event that had 40 people in attendance to tour the Ministry Center and see how their churches could come and serve alongside us to renovate the building in the future.
We are also actively trying to enlist Ministry Center Connectors that will be the connection between the Ministry Center and our Mid South Churches. Connectors will keep their church updated on the work happening at the Center and be trained as an advocate in their church for their community. One of our staff will teach these volunteers how to utilize the resources our city has to offer its members with the resource guide we are building. Many hurting and struggling people reach out to our churches every day, and we want to be able to help those people or know what organizations can help them. With this resource guide and training, our churches can do just that, help with compassion. If you are interested in hearing more about the Ministry Center Connector program, please email Sonya at sabram@sendreilef.org. Also, check out our calendar on our website under “Get Involved” to see how you and your church can get involved in the other work God is doing in Raleigh through the Send Relief Ministry Center, partnered with the Dwelling Place Church. We would be glad to show you around if you want to take a tour. We pray you have a blessed Christmas and New Year with your family.
