Send Relief Memphis Ministry Center Team

Meet your Send Relief Memphis Ministry Center Team

At our last Executive Board Meeting in February, your Send Relief Ministry Center Staff was introduced to all in attendance. We wanted to make sure all of our Mid-South family gets introduced to the staff as well. Starting on the left is Sam McMinn, our Building Project Manager, Pastor Leon Jones of The Dwelling Place Christian Center where the Ministry Center is located, Sonya Abram is our Ministry Center Coordinator, Shun Abram is our Ministry Center Director, Mary Abram is our Missions Coordinator, Karnard McCray is our Journeyman, and Kevin Cox is our Compassion Ministry Catalyst.

Please be in prayer for our team as we lead in construction and renovations at the Ministry Center. We will also lead numerous mission teams that will serve this spring, summer, and fall. Currently, we are working to reach housing insecure families in the Shelby County School System, the most under-resourced group of housing insecure people in our city. If your church has a family or individual in need, please reach out to us at the Send Relief Ministry Center as we are strategically partnering with Memphis’s non-profit agencies and building a resource manual so we can help meet the needs for all people who reach out to us. You can keep up with what we are doing on our Facebook and Instagram pages by finding “Memphis Ministry Center”. We ask that when you pray for us, please pray that this scripture resonates in our hearts as we reach out and serve Memphis with compassion. To God be the glory!

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’ So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”

Luke 10:33-37 NKJV

In Christ alone,

Mary Abram
