(Using Six Responses for Revival) Matthew 6:9-13 NIV)
This, then, is how you should pray:
Be willing to pause, reflect, connect, respond and act.
“Our Father in heaven,
Be Humble and Honest in your personal walk with the Father, receiving His grace and mercy, refusing to let pride and selfishness reign.
hallowed be Your name,
Express honor, respect, and recognition; knowing that personal and corporate revival come from Him to glorify His Name. Pray with a Repentant lifestyle that allows His name and presence to abide with you.
Your kingdom come,
Decide that at the end of each day, you will look back and be assured that your life was focused on Kingdom Living, beginning with Kingdom Praying.
Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Respond with radical Obedience to His will for you now, without hesitation or regrets.
Give us today our daily bread.
Rest in Him, knowing that He provides, sustains, and is a promise- keeping eternal Father who knows your needs.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
May giving and receiving Forgiveness be a daily rhythm birthed from Your Spirit within me.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
I say and live my ‘Yes’ for You. I choose to respond with Humility, Honesty, Repentance, Forgiveness, Obedience and Kingdom Living. I say ‘No’ to whatever or whomever would keep me from praying and responding with these characteristics.
Note: “The Six Responses” are Principles encouraged by Life Action and are part of a two year MSBA ministry focus.
